Art therapy at the "Ukrainian Club"

For several years in a row, the events of the "Ukrainian Club", which unite Ukrainian and foreign students, have been undoubtedly popular at the university. Unfortunately, the quarantine requirements, and then the war, did not allow us to spend a considerable amount of time holding our meetings and studying the Ukrainian language and culture, improving language skills. However, we have now resumed our work at the request of students from India and Nigeria. Thus, in November, an interesting class took place - familiarization with such method of overcoming stress as art therapy. Doctor-intern Tetyana Katnytska talked about the basic principles of such activity, taught students how to visualize their dreams. Assistant of the Department of Psychiatry, Narcology and Medical Psychology Olha Lyuta provided explanations and helped with translation. The students willingly practiced their mastery of paints and admitted that they had never imagined that even those who had never held a brush could paint.
